We help seasonal business owners recruit a reliable workforce from Puerto Rico
Question: What is the deal with Puerto Rico? Can Puerto Ricans work in the US mainland?
Answer: Puerto Ricans have been citizens of the United States of America since 1917, and can move freely between the island and the mainland.
Question: Can I come down to Puerto Rico and recruit workers myself?
Answer: You can but you must file all Public Law 87 paperwork with the Department of Labor in Puerto Rico. You must also conduct all interviewing and hiring in accordance with Puerto Rican law.
Question: Do I need to pay for housing of my temporary workers from Puerto Rico?
Answer: You do need to provide the workers with clean, safe and furnished housing. You can charge the workers reasonable rent.
Question: Can you find me workers and get them to my business right away?
Answer: Ideally, we begin the process a few months before you need the workers. We know this is not always possible and may be able to get them to you within 6 weeks. Please note that if a recruiter says they can have Puerto Rican workers to you sooner than that, it means they are not complying with Puerto Rican law. Although it is unlikely THEY will face repercussions, if audited, YOUR business will face fines from the Department of Labor.
